The actress made this decision alone, and did not listen to any haters while in Nigeria. She could have waited till the next time she travels to Dubai to forgive him but instead decided to do it while in Nigeria. News of this epic forgiveness was received very well by Olakunle Churchill and his instagram followers who showered Tonto with praise and adulation. By all indications it appears that Olakunle’s surname, Churchill played a major role in this decision, as she used her church mind to forgive him. The actress and role model went on to explain that forgiveness is good because when you forgive you don’t forget; you will always remember that you forgave someone. She also added that not forgiving slows you down, it holds you back from moving on, and she encouraged others to learn how to forgive.
