Akon is very good at making music and investing in Africa, and we support all of that till he went on hotboxin and almost got beat up by Mike Tyson. For those not familiar with hotboxin, it’s a podcast hosted by Mike Tyson, where he invites different celebrities for a candid conversation. On a recent episode he invited former/current rapper Akon to the podcast, where Akon proceeded to push Tyson to the point of almost getting his azz kicked by the legendary boxer. How did that happen? Well, Tyson had recently traced his ancestry to the West African country Congo, and used the podcast to make the announcement. And that was where Akon jumped in and stole the lightening from Tyson’s mouth. If that was all he did, Tyson like many of us, would have been forgiving. But Akon tells the most ridiculous and shameful lie about the Congolese people and how they go “toe to toe”, with gorilla’s and beat up gorillas. The lie was so blatant that Tyson gave him a look of “mofo you have lost your damn mind if you think am gonna believe that. Just because I sound like a child does not mean you are gonna come on my show and clown me with such a ridiculous lie. Wait till this podcast is over, am whopping your azz” . Why would Akon tell such a lie? We do not know. It makes no sense. Many Congolese reacted with outrage, and sent Akon cease and desist warnings. Gorillas in the mist were shaking their head.
