US President Donald J Trump raised the possibility of postponing the general elections in November due to his stance against mail in voting. Trump, the only person on twitter who is not a follower but a leader, took to his twitter account to air his views on why the elections could be postponed temporarily until it is ‘safe’ to vote again. The US constitution will not allow this to happen because the executive branch of government does not have the authority to postpone general elections. But the year 2020 has been an unpredictable year so far, with the covid 19 virus hitting the US hardest among developed nations. But in anticipation that this could happen, there has been a noticeable spike in searches for ‘knight in shinning amour’ and ‘court jester’, on google, bing and other search engines. Republicans on the hill were quick to push back against Trump by echoing what Democrats are saying, that the president cannot move general elections date.
